Rhode Island Hockey, an affiliate of USA Hockey, will be hosting an event FREE OF CHARGE to goaltenders who reside in the state of Rhode Island at the Cranston Veteran’s Memorial Ice Rink on 8/23/2023

This clinic will consist of one hour of Try Goalie beginning at 6:10, and one hour of a goaltending clinic beginning at 7:10. Each session will be 50 minutes and run by an experienced goaltending staff led by Erika Silva and Sebastian Ragno. 

Try Goalie - This event is open to any RI player who would like to try the position of goalie for the first time. Goaltending equipment will be provided, but please dress in full in player gear, as the try-goalie pads are built to go over standard equipment. Players will participate in multiple introductory drills to increase the excitement associated with the position. Prior completion of Learn to Skate and/or Learn to Play are preferred, but not required. 

Goalie Clinic - This event is open to any RI player who plays the position of goaltender whether full, or part-time. Equipment will NOT be provided for this event. Players will be divided by age group and will participate in multiple drills to enhance their abilities in various situations. This event is developmental in nature, and should be educational for all players.

This is Rhode Island Hockey’s first goaltending event of the 2023-24 season, and all players are required to be registered through USA Hockey prior to participation. Please fill out the information below to express interest in attending this event. Space is limited, and a waitlist will be produced once capacity is reached. Participation will be granted on a first come, first serve basis.
